EHNAC HIE Forum Open to Public - Postponed - Details Will Be Released Soon

FARMINGTON, Conn. - EHNAC (Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission), the leading accreditation standards organization for Electronic Healthcare Networks, is holding a public forum. This meeting seeks to solicit input from both public and private sector stakeholders regarding the development of a health information exchange (HIE) accreditation program that centers around privacy and security policy and business practices.

EHNAC recently commissioned a market scan to assess the barriers and benefits of such an accreditation program. The market scan included perspectives from consumers, federal government, states, hospitals, labs, long term care, payers, physicians, and health information technology vendors.  EHNAC will provide an overview of the market scan findings and make the report available to the public at this forum and on its website after the meeting. This is an opportunity for stakeholders to assist in developing a policy and best practices accreditation framework for HIE’s. EHNAC invites you to be a part of this ground breaking discussion and hopes you can participate
